Debanjana Chatterjee

Architectural Designer, Urban Planner | Alliiance

Debanjana Chatterjee is an architectural designer, urban planner, researcher, and educator with interdisciplinary expertise. Holding dual master’s degrees in architecture and urban planning, her work bridges architecture and planning, sustainability, equity, and cultural engagement through both practice and research. She currently serves as Associate Director of AIA Minneapolis and Co-chair of the DEI Committee at American Planning Association Minnesota.

Currently working as a Designer at Alliiance, USA, Debanjana previously served as an Assistant Professor at Amity University, India. Her research and design work have been presented, published, and exhibited internationally. She is the recipient of the AIA MN Next Gen Award 2025 and has been recognized through Metropolis’s Arch30 program for emerging leadership in architecture and design. Her multidisciplinary creative practice also earned her the Renaissance Architect Prize, 2021, recognizing her diverse contributions across architecture, design, and visual arts.

Her credentials and multidisciplinary body of work reflect original artistic and business contributions to the architectural field, particularly in advancing inclusive design dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, sustainable design and culturally responsive practice.
