Safe, efficient, and warm international medical center:
The Yellow River is the central axis of Chinese civilization, winding through the land of China. Thanks to the nourishment of the large River, the land of Qilu is rich in natural resources. The Comprehensive Medical Center draws inspiration from the charm of the Yellow River and constructs a modern urban interface that complements the landscape of the Yellow River with a soft and curved layout of architectural groups and dynamic and varied architectural spaces.
The comprehensive medical center adheres to the design concept of “patient-centered” and fully integrates the high-quality medical resources of “6+1” in Jinan, creating a new model of intensive “Medical Mall” based on public hospitals. The medical center introduces the design concept of “Healing Harbor”, defining three plots as “Characteristic Specialized Medical Port”, “Comprehensive Diagnosis and Treatment Port”, and “Science and Technology Innovation and Health Service Port”. A “HOD” service platform is introduced between the plots to create a three-dimensional transportation and medical treatment system.
Medical buildings emphasize more on functionality: the “three uses” principle of usability, practicality, and applicability. This plan embodies the design concept of form following function and prioritizes functionality. The overall image is stable and unified, with the main image and entrance consistent, in line with the traditional aesthetic habits of Easterners.
