Inspired by the islands of St. Petersburg, the design features “green islands” for planting and activities, connected by circulation paths. This fluid layout contrasts with the complex’s classical architecture and references the Karpovka River and city canals.
The landscaping unites three self-sufficient courtyards: a central promenade open to the river, and enclosed western/eastern spaces. The central courtyard, functioning as a public promenade, culminates in a water feature with a pond and stream. A striking slanted pine at its entrance creates dynamic light and water reflections.
